This is a great half marathon to start the year off with. Not only is it a particularly flat race but the combination of location, organisation and atmosphere make this a favourite amongst runners even though this was only being held for its second year.
The Course which runs mainly along the Millenium Coastal Path features great views of the surrounding lakes, green fields and over the last 6 miles the sea front with a refreshing sea breeze.
The whole event was great fun from the atmosphere with the small number of spectators cheering on the runners through to the very welcoming feel the race had, from everyone helping to organise and run the event.
Obviously everyone was a little envious of the local constabulars method of transport around the course but again they where very helpful throughout the event.
I was happy with my finishing time and hope to see this coming down over the coming months with some good results in the shorter events in late summer.
Please see the first blog for more information about this event and the day.

The course goes out along the red route, back along the
green with the final stretch higlighted in yellow
