This year’s B&Q Eastleigh 10K Road Race will form part of one man’s run around the world.
The popular Eastleigh 10K is to be held on 25 March and will be one of the first events that Bryce Duff, who works at B&Q’s Chandler’s Ford head office, will participate in as part of his quest to run 600 miles on six continents in one year.
Bryce was awarded the 2007 B&Q Hero Award and will spend the next year fulfilling his dream of raising money through running for Cystic Fibrosis. His exploits will take him across the world including Beijing, Sydney, Rio de Janeiro, Cape Town and New York.
Bryce says “I ran in the Eastleigh 10K last year and really enjoyed
it and I am delighted to include the race closest to where I work in my
worldwide schedule. Within 48 hours of completing the Eastleigh race I
am heading for South Africa to participate in the 35 mile event in Cape
Town”. He added “I am hoping to raise tens of thousands of
pounds for Cystic Fibrosis and if anyone would like to sponsor me and
follow my progress throughout the year, visit www.cfchallenge.com for
more information.
