Why such a short event - well now only two days after my honeymoon I'm nearly a 3/4 of a stone heavyier than I was at my last event.
Following the years of being sat at a desk and then the sudden change in 3 months to requiring 4 plus meals a day - my motabalism has decided that every ounce of food that I eat needs to be stored!
Well the other aim for this event is to monitor myself as this event is part of a series in which there are three races throughout the year running the same event.
This is the second of the three events and therefore I will be able to repeat this race in August to hopefully see an improvement. Although by this point in my training I should be aiming for a similar time as I concentrate on longer distance training for teh big 175 mile event in earlier September.
Well back onto the event it is a good fast course starting on the main 400m track of the sports centre and then run out and back along the coast line.
Again a great mid week event for fitting in around work as most series events are aimed at plus its a good location for meeting other runners.
I lookforward to the challenge of improving my time in August.
